2010 Modern Apprenticeship Awards a success
09 December 2010
Last night saw the 9th annual awards ceremony celebrating the outstanding achievements of employees, employers and learning providers involved in Modern Apprenticeships across Scotland.
Hosted by Stephen Jardine and held at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow, the 2010 Scottish Modern Apprenticeship Awards showcased the initiative, enterprise and outstanding commitment to the improvement of skills development for the Scottish economy.
Thomas Davidson, who won the 'Non-Traditional Sector - Aged 16-19' category, went on to compete against five other individual finalists from across Scotland before winning the prized '2010 Outstanding Achievement Award' title. Tom who graduated from the SRU SVQ Modern Apprentice Programme this summer, not only won the Skills Development Scotland Modern Apprentice Award in his category (non traditional aged 16-19) but was also awarded the overall Scottish Modern Apprentice of the Year Award at the glittering awards ceremony.
This is an outstanding achievement and a first for Cartha QP and for Scottish Rugby. Tam is now attending Cardonald College in Glasgow where he is studying his HND in Sports
